Winter brings Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom, Epcot’s International Festival of the Holiday’s including special food booths, Holiday Storytellers, and Candlelight Processional. Many resorts are filled with lifesized gingerbread displays, Christmas trees and sometimes a special character appearance. For those staying past New Year’s Eve, January brings Epcot International Festival of the Arts. Cooler weather is more likely depending on how close you travel to Christmas Day. It’s feasible to pack a swimsuit but shorter daylight hours may squeeze out the warmer air many enjoy for swimming. (say’s the thin-skinned Floridian).
Spring brings Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival including learning experiences for all ages. Guest speakers from HGTV and DIY experts discuss gardening and home improvements. Outdoor kitchens will keep your pallet interested while pop-up playgrounds and butterfly tents are sure to keep the interest of the children. Swimming season is in full swing, so plan to use the resort pool for mid-day cooldowns.
Summer brings pop-up events in Theme Parks and Water Parks, often announced in Spring. Fourth of July is very busy but with it brings lots of summer fun. Special fireworks take place at Magic Kingdom and Epcot. Patriotically dressed characters may appear in the parks too!
