While Walt Disney World stroller rental options are abundant, with many designs, options, and add-ons, many families research everything except stroller rental options. Resorts, room views, pool sizes, sleeping arrangements, and dining are much more interesting topics to research, after all. Disney vacationers don’t realize an essential ingredient holding the rest of their vacation together is having the right stroller.

Unfortunately, like most things when it comes to children, the decision was slowly made for us due to the fact that our son grew out of the baby carrier. Here I share our Disney travel experiences that led to a double stroller rental and why we chose Kingdom Strollers as our favorite company.
Our first Disney stroller-bound trip was in the summer of 2013. Our daughter was 22 months old, our son was nine months old, and we were staying for six days at the Grand Floridian. We brought from home our BOB Revolution single stroller and BabyBjorn baby carrier. We wanted to travel light (whatever that means when traveling with kids under 2). The plan was to take turns carrying our son (a hefty 23 pounds at the time) in the Bjorn while our daughter relaxed in the stroller. Staying on the monorail line convinced us it would be easy getting back and forth from the Magic Kingdom with our current setup – and it worked this time around.
A few months later, however, we returned and our son was much bigger. He had outgrown the baby carrier. So, unlike our previous trip, we knew we would have to have a double stroller this go around. As a result, I began researching and was lucky enough to find Kingdom Strollers through their many positive reviews. Their website made my stroller decision an easy process and they even provided a rain cover (I highly recommend it!) along with free pick-up and delivery.
Modern, Quick Communication
Like anything you try for the first time, there was a bit of a learning curve to the Disney World stroller rental process. Since we were staying at the Grand Floridian Villa (part of Disney Vacation Club), instead of the Grand Floridian Hotel, I misunderstood which bell stand our stroller would be at.
We arrived at the Grand Floridian around 10:00 am and I had booked our first FastPass+ starting at 12:30 pm. I was anxious to check into our room, get our stroller, and head to the monorail platform for Magic Kingdom. Upon check-in, I called down to the Grand Floridan Villa bell stand and asked if they had our stroller rental. When they said “no,” I immediately panicked. I drew out my phone, using the “text” option to contact Kingdom Strollers about our rental.
Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect by way of turnaround time for a response. However, as if I had just texted a close friend, Kingdom Strollers immediately replied back and assured me that our stroller was at the bell stand at the Grand Floridian Hotel. Since the main bell stand was on our way over to the Monorail platform, we headed out. There is was, waiting for us as promised. Clean, rain shield underneath, and a small, out-of-the-way Kingdom Stroller sign with our family name on the stroller storage basket. Perfect!
Excellent Customer Service
After getting the learning curve of the Disney World stroller rental pick-up process down, I figured my problems were behind me.
Yet, during our next trip to Walt Disney World a few months later, I failed to book our Kingdom Stroller Baby Jogger City Mini GT for our entire stay. I’m not sure how I figured it out, but I realized just two nights before check-out that our stroller rental reservation was one day short. I again contacted Kingdom Strollers, emailing them from our room that night. Just like last time, I receive a polite and immediate response.
Kingdom Strollers simply told me to enjoy the rest of our vacation and they would take care of extending my reservation for one more day. After our vacation was over, they emailed me an invoice for the extra day. There was no hassle from Kingdom Strollers and we were able to enjoy the remainder of our vacation stress-free!

Personal Rant: They’re Just Plain Better
It’s called Walt Disney World for a reason. It’s huge. Popup strollers are not for running marathons; they are for strolling through the zoo or mall.
The average Walt Disney World guest can walk nearly 12 miles in one park visit. With that in mind, imagine how exhausting this could be: pushing your child(ren), their gear, drinks for everyone, and anything else we deem “essential.” Yet, since you have no storage under your stroller seat, you don’t even get to push everything around –you’re carrying it, loaded with a backpack full of supplies. Due to the weight of the backpack and the low bars blistering against your hands, thus hunching your spine, you can only manage to push one city block per 20 minutes. Your family is now behind schedule and missing half of your planned itinerary. Sound fun?
